Rosemead Boulevard Pavement Resurfacing Project
**UPDATED AUG. 5, 2019**
Temple City has contracted with Pavement Coatings Co. to resurface Rosemead Boulevard from the northern city border to the southern city border. This project will extend the life of the pavement surface by sealing cracks and applying a slurry seal coating over the existing pavement. This project is funded by SB 1 transportation funds.
The phases of work and approximate schedule are shown below. The schedule is tentative and subject to change based on weather and field conditions.
Street preparation: Cleaning, weed spraying, and crack sealing. July 19 through August 8
Striping removal: 9:00 PM on Monday, August 5 through 5:00 AM on Tuesday, August 6. There are no street or lane closures planned during this time but the work will cause traffic delays.
Slurry seal application at intersection of Rosemead Boulevard and Las Tunas Drive: 9:00 PM on Sunday, August 11 through 5:00 AM on Monday, August 12. The intersection will be closed to all traffic during this time; traffic will be diverted to other streets.
Slurry seal application in all other areas along Rosemead Boulevard: August 11 through August 16 between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. On street parking will be unavailable during these hours and driveway access may be temporarily blocked. Only one traffic lane will be open in each direction during these hours. Expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.
