The City Council adopted the Art in Public Places Program in August 2012 to enhance the built environment with provocative and original works of art. 

The City Manager's Office oversees and manages ongoing operations of the Art in Public Places Program, with policy direction from the City Council and the seven-member Public Arts Commission.
