Parking Permits (Overnight & Oversized)

Overnight Parking Permits

A parking permit is required to park on public streets in Temple City between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Daily Overnight Parking Permit
Daily parking permits may be purchased for 1, 2, or 3 days for $3 per day at the parking permit dispenser located outside of City Hall near Las Tunas Drive. The dispenser accepts Visa, Master Card, coins, $1 bills, and $5 bills. Daily parking permits must be displayed face-up on the driver’s side dashboard of the vehicle.

If the parking permit dispenser is out of order, overnight parking permits can also be purchased at City Hall during regular business hours or at the Sheriff's Department Temple Station located at 8838 Las Tunas Drive on evenings and weekends.

Annual Parking Permit
Annual parking permits are available to qualifying Temple City residents. To qualify for an annual parking permit, there must be more vehicles registered at a residence than available off-street parking spaces. All off-street parking spaces must be occupied by registered and operational vehicles, including parking spaces in garages, carports, and driveways.  Parking spaces cannot be occupied by inoperative vehicles, unregistered vehicles, recreational vehicles, boats, off-road vehicles, stored materials, or any other items.

Annual permits can be purchased for $83 for a full year or for a pro-rated amount on a quarterly basis if purchased later in the year, as shown in the table below.  Discounted rates for seniors ages 65 and older are also available.  The maximum number of annual permits is limited to 2 per household.  Annual permits expire at 11:59 p.m. on December 31st of the year for which the permit was issued.
