City facilities have been closed to the public effective March 18, 2020. The City remains committed to serving our residents and members of the public. Pursuant to SB 415, the Temple City voters have approved a Charter amendment changing the City's General Municipal Election date, from odd-number years to even-numbered years in March, to coincide with the Statewide General Election. To effectuate the change from odd-numbered years to even-numbered years, the elective officers holding office as of the effective date of the charter amendment shall have their current terms extended by one (1) year.

City Council will meet on December 17, 2019 to either appoint to the office the person who has been nominated or direct an election to be held.
In 2020, Los Angeles County will be modernizing the voting experience. Voters will be able to vote when, where, and how they want. The new voting model will also make same day registration easier.
