2010 Calendar

January 30
Chinese New Year Celebration
co-sponsored by the Temple City Chinese American Association at Temple City Park. Activities include entertainment, displays, craft booths, food samples. Event: 1 pm - 4 p.m.

February 26 - 28
Camellia Festival & Carnival
is held at Temple City Park the last weekend in February.  Activities include the Camellia Festival Parade and a 3-day carnival.  A Royal Court of 1st graders are chosen and many local youth organizations walk in the parade.

March 15
Arbor Day sponsored by the Public Services Department. Details available by calling the Public Services Dept.

April 26
Spring Fling is held at Live Oak Park Community Center for youth ages 10 - 14 years. Enjoy great music, arcade type games, night hunt and dance contest. Tickets may be purchased at the Live Oak Park Community Center.
April 3
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny!
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before the Easter Egg Hunt    Cost: $5
Easter Egg Hunt
 held at Live Oak Park. Children ages 1 - 9 can join the Easter egg hunt beginning at 10 am sharp. Free spring crafts and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

May 5
50th Anniversary Open House/Walking Tour - 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Free open to the public. Enjoy an evening tour of City Hall, the Civic Center, Fire Station 47, the Historical Museum and the Temple City Library.  Refreshments and 50th anniversary giveaways - Make your first stop City Hall to pick up your 50th anniversary goody bag.

Golden Anniversary Dinner  6 - 10 pm

Limited tickets available for purchase at City Hall beginning May 3
$30 per person - dinner will be held at the St Lukes Catholic Church Parish Hall

50th Anniversary Celebration 4 - 9 pm
Join us at Temple City Park as we celebrate Temple City's Golden Anniversary.  BBQ - Giveaways - Celebration Cake - Community Photo - Walter P. Temple Bronze Bust Dedication

Concerts in the Park  are held each Wednesday evening from 7 - 9 pm. in Temple City Park. Concerts are free. Beverages and snacks are available for purchase. Country, Classic Rock, and music from all decades can be enjoyed in a fun-family setting.
 
July 9
Rabies Clinic sponsored by the City is held at Temple City Park. Resident dog owners may purchase licenses at the clinic.

Camp-A-Palooza is held at Live Oak Park. Family Fee: $40
Bring your tent, sleeping bags and get set for a fun-filled adventure.

National Night Out & Energy Efficiency and Conservation Fair
is held at Temple City Park. 6 - 9 p.m.

August 19
Dining Under The Stars a "tasty" evening under the stars and includes a menu sampling from various restaurants and bakeries.  Live Entertainment! Pre-purchase tickets recommended as this event sells out each year! Where: Temple City Park, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $15 per ticket

September 8
Unity Through Music Concert featuring Suave The Band and multi-cultural performances - Food for purchase - Bring your lawn chair or blanket - FREE Concert

Fall Festival
is co-sponsored with the Temple City High School Vocal Arts Boosters.  Enjoy musical performances from local schools, a craft faire, food, collector's car show, Kids Kountry and a chance to bid on silent auction items. Where: Temple City Park

Halloween Carnival offers fun and safety  for youngsters at Live Oak Park. Dress in costume! Fun games and contests all free of charge.
November

Veteran's Day is held at the Live Oak Park Community Center. A recognition program and entertainment honors our local Veterans.
December TBA

Lights on Temple City transforms Temple City Park into a winter wonderland. Snow play areas for children under 12 years, festive entertainment, crafts for children, a mini parade, visits with Santa and the lighting of the 100' redwood tree are enjoyed by young and old.
Holiday Home Decorating Contest Brighten the streets of Temple City! Residents are encouraged to decorate their homes with colorful lights and decorations. Entry forms available at the Parks & Recreation Department. Gift baskets and yard signs awarded to the winners. Entry Forms Available at City Hall, Live Oak Park and online beginning November 1
