TEEN ZONE
TEEN ZONE HOURS:  Monday through Friday   2:30 - 6 p.m. for 6th - 9th Grade Students
                                                                                  6 - 9 p.m. for 10th - 12th Grade Students
 

   
Teen Zone is one of Temple City's greatest resources, making it fun to grow up here and giving parents peace of mind. It is open Monday through Friday during the following hours:

Come in and hang out with old friends or meet some new ones at the TC Teen Zone. Play a friendly game of pool, take part in a PS2 tournament, listen to Top 40 music or drop into the Computer Lab to catch up on homework.

The Dance Room is available for any dancers looking for a place to practice (membership is required)
FEES:  School Year Membership  $10
           School Year Membership with Shuttle Service  $75

TEEN DANCES

6TH - 8TH GRADE STUDENTS
"Please don't stop the music" that's what every tween and teen will be saying at the end of every Temple City youth dance!  All 6th - 8th grade students are invited to dance and enjoy the best Top 40, Hip Hop, Old Skool and R & B music.  Get your ticket and spend an evening with your besties and buds.  Please contact Frances Manzo-Pimentel at (626) 285-2171 ext. 2360 for further information.

Temple City celebrates 50 years as a community and the summer STARS Club staff is ready to take your child through a GOLDEN Adventure  Grades entering 1st  - 6th

EMPEROR GOLD STARS

LOCATION:  Emperor School
Monday - Friday  9:30 am - 6 pm

SESSION 2   July 26 - August 27    $180
Monday - Friday  7 am - 6 pm


CLEMINSON GOLD STARS

LOCATION:  Cleminson School
Monday - Friday  7 am - 6 pm (hours for both sessions)

SESSION 2  July 26 - August 27   $150

STARS Club
After School Program
 
Children K - 6th grade are welcome to join Parks and Recreation's fun filled outdoor club - STARS Club is an afterschool program. STARS Club is offered at Cloverly, Longden, La Rosa, Emperor and Cleminson elementary schools.  Students enrolled in STARS Club can participate in a variety of fun, educational activities including crafts, outdoor games and seasonally-oriented special events. And academics are not ignored - homework time is scheduled for one half-hour Monday - Thursday.

REGISTRATION FEE PER SESSION:
$150 FOR KINDERGARTEN
$110 FOR 1ST - 6TH GRADE

Super-STARS Drill Team

 

GIRLS AND BOYS 1st - 8th grade are invited to be a part of a fun, exciting winning experience.  Each participant will learn choreographed Hip Hop, Military, Prop, Parade & a Tall Flag routine. Represent Temple City throughout the year at various competitions, the Camellia Parade and Lights on Temple City Parade and much more!!

Participant Fee: $75  and $100 Uniform Fee (additional fees may apply)
PRACTICES WILL BE HELD MONDAY AND WEDNESDAYS FROM 5 PM - 7 PM BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 13 AT THE LIVE OAK PARK ANNEX

Advance registration is required and is currently being accepted by RecConnect at the City's website, by mail or in person at the Live Oak Park Annex. Space is limited, so register early.

Homework Help Program

JOIN US each Wednesday - please call for further information.

The Homework Help Program will be offered  for all elementary children requiring assistance with general homework assignments.  This is a free program and is held at the City Hall - Community Room each Wednesday afternoon. An application is required. For further information and a program application, please call Debbie Ingram `(626) 285-2171 ext. 2361.
